Terms of Service
The short version
Personal use of Viddl and GifCap is free. If you use either app professionally or commercially, a one-time per-device license is required: $29 for Viddl, $19 for GifCap. You pay once and own it permanently — no subscriptions, no renewals.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using any software published by twoplus11, or by browsing twoplus11.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our products.
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to:
- Viddl — macOS video download application
- GifCap — macOS GIF screen recorder
- twoplus11.com and its subpages
Separate terms may apply to other services hosted under twoplus11.com subdomains (such as Claytonia or Cat Clinic).
3. License — personal use
You may use Viddl and GifCap free of charge for personal, non-commercial purposes. Personal use means use for your own private, non-revenue-generating activities. If you're not sure whether your use qualifies as personal, it is probably commercial.
4. License — commercial use
If you use Viddl or GifCap for any of the following, a commercial license is required:
- Use within a business, organisation, or on employer-owned hardware
- Use in connection with work you are paid to do
- Use to produce content for commercial gain (monetised YouTube channels, client deliverables, etc.)
Pricing (one-time, per device):
- Viddl — $29 USD
- GifCap — $19 USD
A commercial license grants you the right to use the licensed software on a single device indefinitely. Licenses do not expire and do not require renewal. You may transfer a license to a replacement device if the original device is retired.
5. Restrictions
Regardless of license type, you may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rent the software
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software
- Remove or obscure any licensing or attribution notices
- Use the software for any unlawful purpose
- Use Viddl to download content in violation of the copyright or terms of service of the source platform
6. Acceptable use — Viddl
Viddl is a general-purpose download tool. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of it complies with the terms of service of any platform you download from, and with applicable copyright law.
twoplus11 does not endorse or facilitate copyright infringement. Do not use Viddl to download content you do not have the right to download.
7. Intellectual property
All software, design, and content published by twoplus11 remains the intellectual property of twoplus11. Purchasing a license grants you the right to use the software — it does not transfer ownership of the software or any intellectual property rights.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. twoplus11 makes no guarantees that:
- The software will work for every use case or on every system configuration

We will make reasonable efforts to maintain and improve the software, but we cannot guarantee specific functionality or timelines.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, twoplus11 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software or these terms — including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption — even if twoplus11 was advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall twoplus11's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the applicable license, or $10 USD if no payment was made.
