Terms of Service
The short version
Personal use is free. If you use Mirrorr commercially, a one-time license of $15 per device is required. You pay once and own it permanently - no subscriptions, no renewals.
1. Acceptance
These terms are between you and twoplus11 LLC, a single-member limited liability company registered in the State of Missouri, USA. By downloading or using Mirrorr, you agree to these terms and to the fleet-wide twoplus11 terms of service. Where these app-specific terms differ from the fleet-wide terms, these terms control for Mirrorr.
2. License - personal use
You may use Mirrorr free of charge for personal, non-commercial purposes. Personal use means use for your own private, non-revenue-generating activities.
3. License - commercial use
If you use Mirrorr for any of the following, a commercial license is required:
- Use within a business, organization, or on employer-owned hardware
- Use in connection with work you are paid to do
- Use to back up systems used for commercial gain
Pricing: $15 USD, one-time, per device. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply where you live.
A commercial license grants you the right to use Mirrorr on a single device indefinitely. Licenses do not expire and do not require renewal. You may transfer a license to a replacement device if the original device is retired.
4. What Mirrorr does
Mirrorr copies files from one local volume to another. It installs a root-level background service (daemon) to read every file on the source disk, including system files and files belonging to other user accounts. The daemon accepts commands only from the signed Mirrorr application, verified by code-signing requirement over XPC.
Mirrorr is not a versioned backup. It creates a mirror: a copy of your disk as it is right now. It does not keep old versions of files. If a file is deleted from the source before the next run, it will be deleted from the mirror on the next run. If you need file history, use Time Machine alongside Mirrorr.
5. Your data
Mirrorr copies files between drives you choose. It does not upload, transmit, or share your files with anyone, including twoplus11. The only network connections Mirrorr makes are described in the privacy policy.
6. Disclaimer
Mirrorr is provided "as is". twoplus11 does not guarantee that backups will be complete, error-free, or suitable for disaster recovery in every scenario. You are responsible for verifying that your backups contain what you expect. Mirrorr is one layer of protection and should not be your only one.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. For anything not covered here, the fleet-wide terms apply.
