Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Copyr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Copyr.
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
2. The Application
Copyr is a macOS network monitor and per-application firewall. It installs a network content-filter system extension that observes outbound connections made by applications on your Mac, records them locally, and allows or blocks them according to rules you set — per application, or per remote host. When an application Copyr has not seen before opens a connection, that connection is held briefly while Copyr asks you what to do. Copyr does not inspect, decrypt, or proxy the contents of your network traffic. Everything runs entirely on your own Mac. It is distributed from twoplus11.com/copyr/.
3. License
Personal License (Free)
We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Copyr on your personal computers for non-commercial purposes. Personal use means use by an individual for personal, non-revenue-generating activities. The personal tier is the complete application — there are no locked features, trial timers, or nag screens.
Commercial License ($5 per device, one-time)
If you use Copyr in connection with any business, employment, commercial, or revenue-generating activity, you must purchase a Commercial License for each device on which Copyr is installed. A Commercial License covers one device for the lifetime of the software. You may purchase a Commercial License at twoplus11.com/copyr/#pricing.
Your license is personal and non-transferable. You may not transfer, sublicense, or assign it to another person or entity.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense Copyr to any third party
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Copyr except where expressly permitted by applicable law
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use Copyr for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Use Copyr to access or delete files you do not own or are not authorized to modify
5. Third-Party Components
Copyr is built entirely with Apple's own frameworks and bundles no third-party components. If any open-source component is ever added, it will remain the property of its respective authors and be governed by its own license, the full text of which would ship inside the application. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under any such license.
6. Intellectual Property
Copyr, its design, original code, and all associated intellectual property rights — excluding any third-party components — are owned by twoplus11 LLC. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the application. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
7. Updates and Availability
We may release updates to Copyr that add features, fix bugs, or change behavior. Updates are free for the lifetime of your license. We reserve the right to discontinue Copyr at any time without notice, though existing downloads will remain functional.
8. Payments and Refunds
Commercial License purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Your license key is emailed to you immediately after payment. All sales are final. If you experience a technical issue that prevents Copyr from working on your machine, contact us at jeremy@twoplus11.com and we'll work to resolve it or issue a refund at our discretion.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
COPYR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT COPYR WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. COPYR COPIES FILES BETWEEN VOLUMES: HARDWARE FAILURE, A DISCONNECTED OR FAILING DRIVE, A FULL DESTINATION, OR AN UNEXPECTED SHUTDOWN MAY RESULT IN AN INCOMPLETE COPY. WHERE YOU CHOOSE TO REPLACE AN EXISTING FILE AT THE DESTINATION, THE PREVIOUS CONTENTS OF THAT FILE ARE OVERWRITTEN. OPTIONAL CHECKSUM VERIFICATION REDUCES BUT DOES NOT ELIMINATE THE RISK THAT A COPY DIFFERS FROM ITS SOURCE. COPYR IS NOT A BACKUP PRODUCT AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MAINTAINING INDEPENDENT BACKUPS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THAT A COPY SUCCEEDED BEFORE ERASING ANY ORIGINAL.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TWOPLUS11 LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF COPYR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50 USD).
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Missouri.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of Copyr after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
