Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Squishr for Windows, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Squishr.
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
2. The Application
Squishr is a Windows application that compresses video files to a guaranteed target file size (Discord's 10 MB cap, WhatsApp's 16 MB, or any size you choose), entirely on your own PC. It is distributed from twoplus11.com/squishr/windows.
3. Beta Software
THIS IS A PRE-RELEASE ("BETA") BUILD OF SQUISHR FOR WINDOWS, MADE AVAILABLE FOR EVALUATION AND TESTING. IT MAY CONTAIN DEFECTS AND MAY BEHAVE UNEXPECTEDLY. DO NOT RELY ON IT AS THE SOLE COPY OF ANY VIDEO YOU CARE ABOUT: KEEP BACKUPS OF YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE COMPRESSING SOMETHING IRREPLACEABLE. WE MAY CHANGE, SUSPEND, OR WITHDRAW THE BETA AT ANY TIME.
Feedback you send us about the beta may be used to improve Squishr without restriction or obligation to you. Please do not include confidential or sensitive video content in a bug report. Send a description or a short, non-sensitive example clip instead.
4. License
Personal License (Free)
We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Squishr on your personal computers for non-commercial purposes. Personal use means use by an individual for personal, non-revenue-generating activities. The personal tier is the complete application: there are no locked features, trial timers, or watermarks.
Commercial Use (Free)
If you use Squishr in connection with any business, employment, commercial, or revenue-generating activity, you must purchase a Business License for each computer on which Squishr is installed. A Business License covers one computer for the lifetime of the software, and the same key is valid for both the Windows and macOS builds. You may purchase a Business License at twoplus11.com/squishr/windows/#pricing.
Your license is personal and non-transferable. You may not transfer, sublicense, or assign it to another person or entity.
5. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense Squishr to any third party
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Squishr except where expressly permitted by applicable law
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use Squishr for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Use Squishr to process content you do not have the right to process
6. Third-Party Components
Squishr bundles FFmpeg (licensed under the GPLv3) as a separate tool used for video analysis and encoding, and uses pywebview to draw its interface. Squishr also uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is a Microsoft component governed by Microsoft's own terms. These components are the property of their respective authors and are governed by their own licenses, the full texts of which ship inside the application. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licenses.
7. Intellectual Property
Squishr, its design, original code, and all associated intellectual property rights (excluding the third-party components described above) are owned by twoplus11 LLC. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the application. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Updates and Availability
We may release updates to Squishr that add features, fix bugs, or change behavior. Updates are free for the lifetime of your license. Squishr checks for updates automatically about once a week and tells you when one exists; nothing is downloaded or installed without your consent, and you can turn the check off entirely in the app. We reserve the right to discontinue Squishr at any time without notice, though existing installations will remain functional.
9. Payments and Refunds
Business License purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Your license key is emailed to you immediately after payment. All sales are final. If you experience a technical issue that prevents Squishr from working on your machine, contact us at jeremy@twoplus11.com and we'll work to resolve it or issue a refund at our discretion.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
SQUISHR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SQUISHR WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR PRODUCE A WATCHABLE RESULT AT EVERY TARGET SIZE FOR EVERY VIDEO. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING BACKUPS OF YOUR FILES.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TWOPLUS11 LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF SQUISHR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50 USD).
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Missouri.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of Squishr after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
