Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Snapr for Windows, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Snapr.
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
2. The Application
Snapr is a Windows window-management utility. It moves and resizes the windows of other applications (in response to keyboard shortcuts you set or by dragging a window to a screen edge) into halves, thirds, quarters, sixths and other arrangements, and can save and restore an arrangement of every window on your desktop. It does this entirely on your own PC through the standard Win32 window-management APIs; it does not read, inspect, or transmit the contents of any window. It is distributed from twoplus11.com/snapr/windows.
3. Beta Software
THIS IS A PRE-RELEASE ("BETA") BUILD OF SNAPR FOR WINDOWS, MADE AVAILABLE FOR EVALUATION AND TESTING. IT MAY CONTAIN DEFECTS AND MAY BEHAVE UNEXPECTEDLY, INCLUDING MOVING, RESIZING, OR FAILING TO RESTORE A WINDOW OR A SAVED LAYOUT AS EXPECTED. DO NOT RELY ON IT AS YOUR ONLY MEANS OF ARRANGING WINDOWS YOU DEPEND ON: SAVE YOUR WORK IN YOUR OWN APPLICATIONS AS YOU NORMALLY WOULD, THE SAME AS YOU WOULD BEFORE USING ANY WINDOW-MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE. WE MAY CHANGE, SUSPEND, OR WITHDRAW THE BETA AT ANY TIME.
Feedback you send us about the beta may be used to improve Snapr without restriction or obligation to you.
4. License
Personal License (Free)
We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Snapr on your personal computers for non-commercial purposes. Personal use means use by an individual for personal, non-revenue-generating activities. The personal tier is the complete application. There are no locked features, trial timers, or nag screens.
Business License ($5 per computer, one-time)
If you use Snapr in connection with any business, employment, commercial, or revenue-generating activity, you must purchase a Business License for each computer on which Snapr is installed. A Business License covers one computer for the lifetime of the software, and the same key is valid for both the Windows and macOS builds. Your license is personal and non-transferable. You may not transfer, sublicense, or assign it to another person or entity.
5. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense Snapr to any third party
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Snapr except where expressly permitted by applicable law
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use Snapr for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to use Snapr to reposition windows of applications you are not authorized to control, or to interfere with another user's session on a shared or remote machine
6. Third-Party Components
Snapr bundles open-source components, including pywebview and pythonnet (used to draw the Settings window), pystray (the notification-area icon and menu), and the Pillow imaging library (the tray and application icons). Snapr also uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is a Microsoft component governed by Microsoft's own terms. These components are the property of their respective authors and are governed by their own licenses, the full texts of which ship inside the application. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licenses.
7. Intellectual Property
Snapr, its design, original code, and all associated intellectual property rights (excluding the third-party components described above) are owned by twoplus11 LLC. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the application. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Updates and Availability
We may release updates to Snapr that add features, fix bugs, or change behavior. Updates are free for the lifetime of your license. Snapr checks for updates automatically about once a week and tells you when one exists; nothing is downloaded or installed without completing that update flow, and you can turn the check off entirely in Settings. We reserve the right to discontinue Snapr at any time without notice, though existing installations will remain functional.
9. Payments and Refunds
Business License purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Your license key is emailed to you immediately after payment. All sales are final. If you experience a technical issue that prevents Snapr from working on your machine, contact us at jeremy@twoplus11.com and we'll work to resolve it or issue a refund at our discretion.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
SNAPR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SNAPR WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. SNAPR MOVES AND RESIZES WINDOWS BELONGING TO OTHER APPLICATIONS THROUGH STANDARD WINDOWS WINDOW-MANAGEMENT APIS: AN APPLICATION MAY NOT ALWAYS RESPOND AS EXPECTED TO A REQUESTED POSITION OR SIZE, AND WINDOWS ITSELF DOES NOT PERMIT SNAPR TO MOVE A WINDOW BELONGING TO AN APPLICATION RUNNING WITH ADMINISTRATOR PRIVILEGES. SAVED LAYOUTS ARE RESTORED PROPORTIONALLY AND MAY NOT REPRODUCE AN ARRANGEMENT EXACTLY ON A DIFFERENT OR CHANGED DISPLAY CONFIGURATION. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNSAVED WORK IN ANY APPLICATION WHOSE WINDOW YOU MOVE OR RESIZE WITH SNAPR.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TWOPLUS11 LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF SNAPR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50 USD).
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Missouri.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of Snapr after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
