Privacy Policy
- Redlinr runs entirely on your PC. Your documents never leave your computer, and both your Original and Revised files are read-only: Redlinr never modifies them.
- No usage analytics, no accounts. Comparing documents never touches the network.
- The only times Redlinr contacts our servers: if you buy and activate a business license (payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card number), or if it checks for updates (which we count; see “Update checks” below). Your documents and their contents are never involved.
1. Who We Are
Redlinr is made by twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (twoplus11.com). When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means twoplus11 LLC.

2. Data We Do Not Collect
Redlinr's whole job is reading the content of two documents you choose and comparing them, so it matters that this happens honestly and privately:
- Your documents are yours. Every compare runs locally on your PC. Neither the Original nor the Revised document you drop in (nor any text extracted from either one) is ever uploaded to us or anyone else, and no page image, extracted text, or comparison result is sent anywhere.
- Your originals are never modified. Comparing is read-only. Redlinr only ever writes a file you explicitly ask for: an exported redline, a new, self-contained HTML file saved wherever you choose. Your source documents are never overwritten, moved, or deleted.
- Comparing documents is completely offline. The diff engine never needs the internet. For free personal use, your PC contacts our servers only to check for updates, and that request carries the app version, never anything about your documents.
- No usage analytics. The app does not report how you use it or track what you compare. Its only routine request to us is a check for a new version, and you can turn it off in Settings.
- No accounts for personal use. Personal use needs no sign-up and no key. (Business-license validation is the one exception; see the next section.)
3. Data We Do Collect
Business-license purchases. If you buy a Business License, you enter your company name, work email, and number of computers in our checkout form. We receive your company name and email so we can deliver your license key and keep a record of the purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe: your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store them.
License validation. When you activate a business license key, Redlinr sends the license key and a one-way hash of a Windows machine identifier (a truncated SHA-256 that cannot be reversed) to our licensing server to verify the license. It also sends the device name you choose to show, so you can tell your own computers apart when managing seats. We never receive anything about your documents or their contents. These requests are hosted on Microsoft Azure, which may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address) for security and operational purposes. Redlinr only makes these requests once a business key has been entered.
Update checks. Redlinr checks whether a newer version exists: automatically about once a week (you can turn this off), or when you check manually. This is an ordinary HTTPS request to api.twoplus11.com identifying the app, the platform, and the version you are running; like any web request it also carries your IP address. We record that the check happened, with a one-way daily hash of that address rather than the address itself, together with the browser-style identifier your PC sends with any web request, so we can count how many installs are active. Nothing in it describes you or your documents. If you then choose to install the update, Redlinr downloads the installer from twoplus11.com and verifies its digital signature and version before running it.
4. Where Redlinr Stores Things on Your PC
Everything Redlinr saves stays inside your own Windows user account, and none of it is transmitted:
- Preferences (your appearance setting, language, ignore-case/whitespace toggles, and window size) in
%APPDATA%\Redlinr. - Your business license key and its cached validation result, if you have one, in your user profile folder.
- The application itself in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Redlinr, or inC:\Program Files\Redlinrif you chose to install it for everyone who uses the PC.
Redlinr does not keep a copy of your Original or Revised documents, or the redline between them, anywhere on disk beyond what you explicitly export. Uninstalling removes the application. If you want every trace gone, delete the two folders above as well.
5. If You Contact Us
If you email us (for support, beta feedback, or a question about your business license), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. If you submit our report form and attach a screenshot, we receive that too. We use this information only to reply to you and to fix the problem. We do not sell or share it.
6. Downloading the App
Redlinr is downloaded from our website, which is hosted by a third-party web host. Like any website, the host may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address) for security and operational purposes. This happens at the web-server level when you visit the download page. The Redlinr application itself does not transmit anything.
7. Children's Privacy
Redlinr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. The only personal data we hold is what you send us by email and, for business-license holders, the company name and email tied to your purchase. You can exercise these rights by contacting jeremy@twoplus11.com. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting your business-license record will deactivate the license.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
