Windows beta. Morphr for Windows is complete, signed, and new to this platform. You are among the first people running it, so tell me how it goes.
100% On-Device · Free for Personal Use

Convert Any File.
Beautifully.

HEIC→JPG, MOV→MP4, WEBP→PNG, FLAC→MP3, and dozens more. Drag in your files, pick a format, and Morphr handles the rest, entirely on your PC. Nothing is ever uploaded.

v1.0.0 beta · Windows 10 (1809+) & 11 · 64-bit · Installs without admin rights · No account

How it works

Three steps, then you're done.

Drag in your files
Drop images, audio, or video onto the window from File Explorer: one file, a hundred, or a whole folder. Ctrl O to pick them, Ctrl V to paste.
Pick a format
Morphr suggests the right target for each file. Change one, or set the format for every image, audio, or video file at once. Tune quality, resize, or bitrate if you like.
Convert
Hit Convert and everything runs in parallel, right on your PC. Converted files are new files, saved next to the originals or in a folder you choose, and Morphr shows you how much space you saved.

Features

Everything Windows conversion should be.

A focused app that does one thing exceptionally well, without ever sending your files to the cloud.

Every common image
HEIC, JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, TIFF, GIF and BMP: convert between any of them, plus PDF and ICO export. iPhone HEIC photos become shareable JPGs in a click, read and written by Pillow and pillow-heif rather than the macOS ImageIO engine the Mac build uses.
Pillow · pillow-heif
Video & audio too
MP4, MOV, MKV and WEBM for video; MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, OPUS and AIFF for audio, handled by the same bundled FFmpeg engine the Mac build uses, so results match. Pull the audio out of any video, or turn a clip into a GIF.
Images into one PDF
Drop a folder of scans or photos and combine them into a single PDF, one image per page, in the order the folder reads. Built on Pillow rather than the PDFKit engine the Mac build uses for the same job. Stop mid-job and it keeps no half-finished file.
Cancel-safe
Fit any size limit
Need a clip under 10 MB for Discord or 25 MB for email? Pick a target and Morphr two-pass encodes the video to land just under it. Quality adjusts automatically so you don't have to guess.
Size limits for photos too
Get a picture under a target size for an upload form, or resize it down by percentage for the web. Morphr gives up as little quality as it can to hit the number, and never enlarges a smaller image.
Shrink big videos
Cap any video at 1080p, 720p or 480p to make it dramatically smaller for email or the web. Aspect ratio is kept, and a smaller clip is never blown up.
Strip location & EXIF
Flip one switch to remove GPS location, camera details and other EXIF metadata from your photos as they convert, so what you share doesn't reveal where it was taken.
Privacy
Keep original dates
Turn on Keep original dates and the converted file is stamped with the source file's created and modified dates instead of the moment you happened to convert it.
100% on your PC
Nothing is uploaded, ever. No account, no cloud, no usage analytics. Converting itself needs no connection at all; the only two calls Morphr ever makes are its update check and, if you buy one, a business-license check.
Batch a whole folder
Drop dozens of files (or a folder, subfolders and all) and convert them at once, in parallel, with live progress. Each file keeps its own target format and settings.
Learns your habits
Morphr remembers the format you last chose for each file type, so the next HEIC defaults to PNG if that's what you always pick. Less clicking, every time.
Fine control
Quality sliders, resize by percentage, video quality presets and a height cap, audio bitrate, set globally or per individual file from a tidy gear popover.
Self-updating
Morphr checks for updates in the background and installs them in place. The download's Authenticode signature and version are verified before it's ever run, and anything that doesn't check out is deleted rather than executed.
Authenticode-verified
Native Windows 11 fit & finish
Rounded corners, a Mica-frosted sidebar, a title bar that follows your light/dark setting, and a taskbar icon that's actually correct. This is a Windows app, not a web page in a box.
Built for everyone
Fully keyboard-driven, with Narrator labels throughout, Windows High Contrast support, reflow with no horizontal scrolling, and measured WCAG 2.1 AA contrast in light and dark.
WCAG 2.1 AA
13 languages
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (BR), Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean. Morphr follows your Windows display language automatically, and you can pin a different one in-app.

This first Windows beta covers images, audio and video. The Mac build's newer document-to-Markdown conversion (Word, RTF, ODT, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel) and its .m4r ringtone maker haven't been ported to Windows yet.

Beta

You're testing the first Windows build.

Morphr has been on the Mac for a while. This is the Windows port's first public build: same conversion guarantees, rebuilt on Windows APIs.

What would help most

Conversion fidelity, above all

The one I care most about. Does the HEIC→JPG hold up at full zoom, does the audio bitrate survive, does video stay in sync, do combined PDFs land in the right page order.

Drag & drop, for real

From File Explorer, from the desktop, from a search-results list, from a network drive. Single files, multi-select, whole folders.

Big batches & long jobs

A folder of hundreds of photos, a large video run through Fit size. Does progress stay accurate, does Stop actually stop, does the app stay responsive.

The install itself

Whether SmartScreen let you through, whether the shortcut and taskbar icon look right, whether uninstall leaves anything behind.

Run the installer and Morphr lands in your own user folder: no admin password, no UAC prompt, nothing else to install.

Download Morphr for Windows, Free

Version 1.0.0 beta · Morphr-Setup.exe · about 105 MB · Free updates forever

Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11 · 64-bit
Everything Morphr needs (including the bundled FFmpeg engine) is inside the installer. It does use the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime to draw its interface, which ships with Windows 11 and reaches almost every Windows 10 machine through Windows Update. On the rare PC without it, Morphr will say so on launch and Microsoft's free installer is a one-click fix.
No admin rights needed
Morphr installs per-user into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Morphr, so there's no UAC prompt and no argument with your IT department. Uninstall from Settings → Apps → Installed apps like anything else.
Windows may warn you the first time. Here's the honest story.
Morphr is Authenticode-signed, so the publisher shows as a real, verified name rather than "Unknown publisher." But signing alone does not switch SmartScreen off: Microsoft builds reputation per file, and a brand-new build starts with none. Until this exact file has been downloaded enough times, you may still see a blue "Windows protected your PC" box.
  1. Click More info
  2. Check the publisher name shown
  3. Click Run anyway
I'd rather tell you this up front than have you wonder. Never click through that box for software you don't trust the source of.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is Morphr really free?
Personal use is free forever: every Windows-supported format, unlimited files, no account, no trial timer, no watermarks. If you use Morphr at work, a one-time $5 business license per computer keeps it supported.
Does Morphr upload my files anywhere?
No, your files never leave your PC. Every conversion runs locally, with no account, no cloud and no usage analytics. Morphr makes two network connections and these are both of them: a check with twoplus11.com about once a week for a new version, which sends the app version and nothing else and can be switched off; and, only if you enter a business license key, a check that the key is valid. Nothing about your files is involved in either.
What can Morphr convert on Windows?
Images (HEIC, JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, TIFF, GIF, BMP, plus PDF and ICO export), audio (MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, OPUS, AIFF) and video (MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, M4V, AVI). It can also extract the audio track from a video, turn a clip into an animated GIF, or combine a folder of images into a single PDF. The Mac build's document-to-Markdown conversion and ringtone maker aren't in this Windows beta yet.
Can I shrink a video or photo to a specific size limit?
Yes. Pick Fit size, set a target in KB or MB, and Morphr two-pass encodes the video to land just under it. Quality adjusts automatically so you don't have to guess. There's an equivalent size-limit option for photos too, and neither will ever enlarge something that's already smaller than your target.
How does Morphr read HEIC photos on Windows?
Through Pillow and pillow-heif, the Windows stand-in for the macOS ImageIO engine (the same one Photos and Preview use) that the Mac build relies on. Both are held to the same fidelity bar; if a converted HEIC looks wrong on Windows, that's exactly the kind of thing this beta needs to catch.
Can Morphr remove the GPS location from my photos?
Yes. Turn on Strip EXIF & GPS and Morphr removes GPS location, camera details and other EXIF metadata from your photos as it converts, entirely on your PC.
Why did Windows show a blue "protected your PC" warning?
Because the file is new, not because it's unsigned. SmartScreen builds trust per file over downloads and time, and a fresh build starts from zero. Code signing gives you a verified publisher name in the dialog but does not skip it. Click More info → check the publisher → Run anyway. See the install section for the full explanation.
How do I update Morphr?
It updates itself. Morphr checks about once a week and, when a new version is out, offers to install it. The download's Authenticode signature and version are verified before anything runs. If either check fails, the download is deleted and you're sent to this page instead. Your settings carry over.
How is this different from the Mac version?
Same app, same conversion guarantees: the still-image engine was rebuilt on Pillow and pillow-heif in place of macOS's ImageIO, while audio and video share the identical bundled FFmpeg engine as the Mac build. Both platforms now self-update in place. What Windows doesn't have yet: the Mac build's newer document-to-Markdown conversion (Word, RTF, ODT, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel) and its .m4r ringtone maker. A business license key works on both platforms either way.
Where do my settings live, and what does uninstalling remove?
Preferences sit in %APPDATA%\Morphr and your license key in your user profile. Uninstalling removes the app from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Morphr; delete those two if you want every trace gone. Nothing is written outside your user account, and nothing goes in the registry beyond the uninstall entry.
