1. Who We Are

Heftr is made by twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (twoplus11.com). When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means twoplus11 LLC.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

Heftr is built to be completely private:

• Your files are yours. Every analysis and every fix runs locally on your Mac. Nothing you open, inspect, or shrink is ever uploaded to us or anyone else.
• Your originals are never modified. Heftr is non-destructive — every fix writes a new (smaller) or (compressed) copy, and existing files are never overwritten.
• Inspecting and shrinking are completely offline. The analysis engine never needs the internet. For free personal use, your Mac contacts our servers only when Heftr checks for updates — and that request carries only the app version, never anything about your files.
• No analytics or telemetry. The app does not phone home, report usage, or track what you open.
• No accounts for personal use. Personal use needs no sign-up and no key. (Business-license validation is the one exception — see the next section.)

3. Data We Do Collect

Business-license purchases. If you buy a Business License, you enter your company name, work email, and number of computers in our checkout form. We receive your company name and email so we can deliver your license key and keep a record of the purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe — your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store them.

License validation. When you activate a business license key, Heftr sends the license key, a one-way fingerprint of your Mac (a truncated SHA-256 of the hardware serial number that cannot be reversed), the app version, and the computer name shown on the license screen to our licensing server to verify the license. We never receive anything about your files or what you inspect. These requests are hosted on Microsoft Azure, which may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address) for security and operational purposes. Heftr only makes these requests once a business key has been entered.

Update checks. Heftr checks whether a newer version exists — automatically about once a week (you can turn this off), and whenever you click Check for Updates. That request includes only the app's version number — nothing about you or your files.

4. If You Contact Us

If you email us — for support or a question about your business license — we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. We use that information only to reply to you. We do not sell or share it.

5. Downloading the App

Heftr is downloaded from our website, which is hosted by a third-party web host. Like any website, the host may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address) for security and operational purposes. This happens at the web-server level when you visit the download page — the Heftr application itself does not transmit anything.

6. Children's Privacy

Heftr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. The only personal data we hold is what you send us by email and, for business-license holders, the company name and email tied to your purchase. You can exercise these rights by contacting 11plustwo@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting your business-license record will deactivate the license.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
