Changelog

Every public release of Grabbr, newest first.

Formal release notes start with 2.1; earlier builds weren’t tracked.

2.1.3 — June 2026

  • Fixed: YouTube audio (MP3) downloads failing with “Requested quality not available”
  • Higher-quality video — removed an outdated YouTube client that capped downloads at 240p

2.1.2 — June 2026

  • Now called Grabbr (formerly Viddl)
  • Fixed: downloads could fail to start on some Macs (a code-signing issue in the bundled downloader)
  • Progress bar now uses the app’s blue instead of the source site’s color — an in-progress YouTube download no longer looks like an error

2.1 — June 2026

  • Download video and audio from YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, Twitch and 1,800+ other sites
  • Smart Trim automatically removes sponsor and ad segments
  • Quality badges and the final file size shown on completion
  • One-click Copy URL and keyboard shortcuts
  • MP3 audio extraction, subtitle extraction, and batch playlist downloads
  • Companion Chrome extension (press ⌘⇧Y to send the current page to Grabbr)
  • Runs entirely on your Mac — no account, no trial timers
