Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Diskr for Windows, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Diskr.
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
2. The Application
Diskr is a Windows disk-space visualizer. It scans a drive or folder you select, maps its contents into an interactive sunburst chart sized by how much space each item takes, and lets you inspect items, reveal them in File Explorer, copy their paths, and (when you choose) move them to the Recycle Bin, never a hard delete. It draws junctions, symlinks and hardlinks without double-counting their space, and it refuses to remove folders Windows depends on. Everything runs entirely on your own PC. It is distributed from twoplus11.com/diskr/windows.
3. Beta Software
THIS IS A PRE-RELEASE ("BETA") BUILD OF DISKR FOR WINDOWS, MADE AVAILABLE FOR EVALUATION AND TESTING. IT MAY CONTAIN DEFECTS AND MAY BEHAVE UNEXPECTEDLY, INCLUDING REPORTING SIZES INCORRECTLY OR MISJUDGING WHAT IS SAFE TO REMOVE. DO NOT RELY ON IT AS YOUR SOLE JUDGE OF WHAT TO DELETE: VERIFY AN ITEM INDEPENDENTLY BEFORE REMOVING IT, AND KEEP BACKUPS OF ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT. WE MAY CHANGE, SUSPEND, OR WITHDRAW THE BETA AT ANY TIME.
Feedback you send us about the beta may be used to improve Diskr without restriction or obligation to you. Please do not include confidential material in a bug report. Send a description or a redacted example rather than sensitive files or folder listings.
4. License
Personal License (Free)
We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Diskr on your personal computers for non-commercial purposes. Personal use means use by an individual for personal, non-revenue-generating activities. The personal tier is the complete application: there are no locked features, trial timers, or nag screens.
Commercial Use (Free)
You may also use Diskr in connection with any business, employment, commercial, or revenue-generating activity, on as many devices as you like. There is no license to buy, no seat to count, and no account to create. It is the same complete application, with no locked features, trial timers, or watermarks.
Your license is personal and non-transferable. You may not transfer, sublicense, or assign it to another person or entity.
5. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Distribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense Diskr to any third party
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Diskr except where expressly permitted by applicable law
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use Diskr for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Use Diskr to access or delete files you do not own or are not authorized to modify
6. Third-Party Components
Diskr for Windows bundles pywebview and pythonnet, used to draw its interface and to call into the Windows shell. Diskr also uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is a Microsoft component governed by Microsoft's own terms. These components are the property of their respective authors and are governed by their own licenses, the full texts of which ship inside the application. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licenses.
7. Intellectual Property
Diskr, its design, original code, and all associated intellectual property rights (excluding the third-party components described above) are owned by twoplus11 LLC. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the application. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Updates and Availability
We may release updates to Diskr that add features, fix bugs, or change behavior. Updates are free for the lifetime of your license. Diskr checks for updates automatically about once a week and tells you when one exists; installing one verifies the installer's signature and version before running it, then reopens the app where you left off. Nothing is downloaded or installed without your consent, and you can turn the check off entirely in Settings. We reserve the right to discontinue Diskr at any time without notice, though existing installations will remain functional.
9. Payments and Refunds
Diskr is free, for personal and commercial use alike: there is nothing to buy, no license key to pay for and no subscription. A tip is the only thing this page will ever take payment for, and it is a voluntary gift rather than a purchase: it buys no feature, no license and no support commitment, and Diskr is identical whether you leave one or not. Tips are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Because a tip buys nothing, tips are not refundable, though if you tipped by mistake write to jeremy@twoplus11.com and we'll send it back.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
DISKR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DISKR WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR REPORT EVERY SIZE WITH PERFECT ACCURACY IN EVERY BETA BUILD. AT YOUR REQUEST, DISKR CAN MOVE FILES TO THE RECYCLE BIN; ALTHOUGH SUCH REMOVALS ARE RECOVERABLE FROM THE RECYCLE BIN AND SCANNING ITSELF ONLY READS FILE NAMES AND SIZES, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING BACKUPS OF YOUR FILES AND FOR CONFIRMING WHAT YOU DELETE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TWOPLUS11 LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF DISKR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50 USD).
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Missouri.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of Diskr after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
