Terms of Service

Effective date: August 22, 2026  ·  twoplus11 LLC

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Blockr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Blockr.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").

2. The Application

Blockr is a macOS network monitor and per-application firewall. It installs a network content-filter system extension that observes outbound connections made by applications on your Mac, records them locally, and allows or blocks them according to rules you set — per application, or per remote host. When an application Blockr has not seen before opens a connection, that connection is held briefly while Blockr asks you what to do. Blockr does not decrypt the contents of your network traffic, and does not proxy it — with two exceptions, both of which you control. Blockr reads DNS replies on port 53 when it needs a name to enforce what you have written: when a blocklist is on, or when you write a rule for a domain name rather than an address. That reading happens in memory, nothing is written down or sent anywhere, and it has its own switch you can turn off. Separately, if you enable Encrypted DNS, Blockr resolves DNS lookups over HTTPS through a resolver you choose, so those lookups pass through Blockr and go to that resolver rather than to your network's. Optional blocklists are likewise downloaded from their own publishers. Apart from what you enable, Blockr runs entirely on your own Mac; what it observes and records never leaves it. The Privacy Policy describes each of these in detail. Blockr is distributed from twoplus11.com/blockr/.

3. License

Personal License (Free)

We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Blockr on your personal computers for non-commercial purposes. Personal use means use by an individual for personal, non-revenue-generating activities. The personal tier is the complete application — there are no locked features, trial timers, or nag screens.

Business License ($5 per device, one-time)

If you use Blockr in connection with any business, employment, commercial, or revenue-generating activity, you must purchase a Business License for each device on which Blockr is installed. A Business License covers one device for the lifetime of the software. You may purchase a Business License at twoplus11.com/blockr/#pricing.

Your license is personal and non-transferable. You may not transfer, sublicense, or assign it to another person or entity.

4. Restrictions

You agree not to:

5. Third-Party Components

Blockr is built entirely with Apple's own frameworks and ships no third-party components at all. Versions up to and including 1.8.0 bundled Sparkle, the framework that installed updates in place; it was removed in 1.9.0, and nothing has taken its place inside the application bundle. Any component added later will be disclosed here.

6. Intellectual Property

Blockr, its design, original code, and all associated intellectual property rights — excluding any third-party components — are owned by twoplus11 LLC. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the application. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Updates and Availability

We may release updates to Blockr that add features, fix bugs, or change behavior. Updates are free for the lifetime of your license. We reserve the right to discontinue Blockr at any time without notice, though existing downloads will remain functional.

8. Payments and Refunds

Business License purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Your license key is emailed to you immediately after payment. Refunds are governed by the refund clause in the twoplus11 Terms of Service, which applies to every app we make.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

BLOCKR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT BLOCKR WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. BLOCKR IS A NETWORK FILTER: RULES YOU SET, OR THE DEFAULT ACTION YOU CHOOSE, MAY PREVENT APPLICATIONS ON YOUR MAC FROM REACHING THE NETWORK, WHICH CAN CAUSE THOSE APPLICATIONS TO FAIL, LOSE DATA IN TRANSIT, OR BEHAVE UNEXPECTEDLY. BLOCKR IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ANTIVIRUS, INTRUSION DETECTION, OR OTHER SECURITY SOFTWARE, AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL DETECT OR PREVENT ANY PARTICULAR CONNECTION, INTRUSION, OR MALICIOUS ACTIVITY. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RULES YOU CONFIGURE AND FOR MAINTAINING BACKUPS OF YOUR DATA.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TWOPLUS11 LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF BLOCKR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50 USD).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Missouri.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of Blockr after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
