Privacy Policy
- Sweepr sorts your folder entirely on your Mac. It only ever sees the folder you point it at, and nothing about what is in it — names, sizes, paths — ever leaves your computer.
- No usage analytics, no accounts. Scanning and sweeping never touch the network, and nothing about your files is ever sent to a server.
- The Sweepr app sends us a weekly check for a new version, which we count — see section 3. You can turn it off. If you buy a business license, the purchase happens here on the website (payment is handled by Stripe — we never see your card number), and the app then checks that key with us periodically. Your files are never involved in any of it.
1. Who We Are
Sweepr is made by twoplus11 LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (twoplus11.com). When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means twoplus11 LLC.

2. Data We Do Not Collect
Sweepr is built to be completely private:
- Your files are yours. Sweepr only accesses the folder you point it at, and everything it does — reading the file list, working out the piles, moving files into them — happens locally on your Mac. No file, filename, path, or size is ever uploaded to us or anyone else. In particular, Sweepr does not use any cloud or AI service to decide where a file belongs; it reads the file extension on your machine.
- Sweepr moves files; it never deletes them. A scan reads names, sizes and dates and nothing more — Sweepr never opens or modifies the contents of your files. The only change it makes is moving a file from one folder to another, after you have seen the plan and pressed Sweep, and every sweep can be undone.
- What it writes stays on your Mac. Sweepr keeps two things in
~/Library/Application Support/Sweepr: your settings — including your language, your light/dark choice, any pile destinations you set and any per-file-type filing rules — and an undo journal for each sweep recording which folder it was of and where each file came from and went. That journal is what makes Undo possible. Both are ordinary local files — they are never uploaded, and you can delete the folder at any time. If you activate a business license, the key and the cached result of its last check are also written to~/.sweepr_licenseand~/.sweepr_license_cachein your home folder, readable only by your own account. - No usage analytics. The app does not report usage or track what you do with your files. Its only request to us is the update check described in section 3, and you can turn it off.
- No account. There is no sign-up and no login screen. Personal use needs no key at all. If you buy a Business License, the app checks that key with us — see section 3 — but that is the only time it identifies itself, and it never carries anything about your files.
3. Data We Do Collect
Business-license purchases. If you buy a Business License, you enter your company name, work email, and number of devices in our checkout form. We receive your company name and email so we can deliver your license key and keep a record of the purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe — your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store them.
Activating a business license. Your license key is emailed to you. When you enter it in the app, Sweepr checks it with api.twoplus11.com, sending the key, which app and version it is, the name your Mac reports for itself, and a machine ID — a SHA-256 fingerprint derived from your Mac's hardware serial number, which we store instead of the serial itself. We use it only to count how many devices a license is installed on, which is what the per-device license is priced against. The app re-checks periodically so a cancelled or refunded license stops working. None of this carries anything about your files, and personal use never sends any of it.
Update checks. Sweepr checks whether a newer version exists — automatically about once a week, and whenever you check manually. You can switch the automatic check off. The request goes to api.twoplus11.com and identifies the app and the version you are running; like any web request, it also carries your IP address. It says nothing about your Mac, your disks, or your files.
What we record when it checks. We log each check, so that we can tell roughly how many people still use the app: which app it was, the version reported, the date, the user-agent string, and a salted hash of your IP address — never the address itself, and the salt changes every day. Nothing in that record is tied to your name, an account, or a license. If you go on to install the update, that download is counted the same way. Apart from a business-license check, this is the only thing the app sends us on its own.
Report an issue, Leave a review, Tip. These three footer buttons open a page on twoplus11.com in your browser. Report and Review put the app version and your macOS version in the link, so the form knows which build you are writing about; nothing else is added, and nothing is sent unless you press one of them.
4. If You Contact Us
If you email us — for support or a question about your business license — we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. We use that information only to reply to you. We do not sell or share it.
5. Downloading the App
Sweepr is downloaded from our website, which is hosted by a third-party web host. Like any website, the host may keep standard server access logs (such as IP address) for security and operational purposes. This happens at the web-server level when you visit the download page, and when the app opens one of the footer pages described in section 3 in your browser — the Sweepr application itself sends nothing to the web host on its own.
6. Children's Privacy
Sweepr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. The only personal data we hold is what you send us by email and, for business-license holders, the company name and email tied to your purchase. You can exercise these rights by contacting jeremy@twoplus11.com. We will respond within 30 days. Your business-license record is what evidences the license, so deleting it also ends the license.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
